Stuff to Know: The Logistics

Accommodations

All retreat attendees will stay at The Bard's Inn Bed and Breakfast. The link is only for information purposes, do not make reservations.  Your retreat fee includes the 4 night stay at The Bard's Inn.  There will only be retreat attendees occupying the Bard's Inn during the retreat.  All rooms have private bathrooms. Some rooms have kitchens. Most rooms have only showers but a few do include a bathtub. All rooms have either a king or queen bed and some rooms have an additional full bed. Priority for rooms with two beds will be given to those who bring a partner, spouse or support person who will also attend the retreat events. If you need special consideration for rooms with kitchens, bathtubs or second beds, please inform us by email as soon as possible.

Transportation

  • There are small airports in Cedar City, UT or in St George, UT which is about 45 minutes away  by car.
  •  Major airports in either Salt Lake City, Utah or Las Vegas, Nevada are about 3 to 3.5 hours from Cedar City by car. Airport shuttles to Cedar City are available. We can provide pickup from the shuttle or the Cedar City airport.

Meals

Breakfast and lunch are provided each day. Dinner is included on the first night of the retreat. The menu will offer variety for vegetarian and non-vegetarian. If you have special dietary needs, you may wish to visit a local grocery store or bring specific food for your purposes. Cedar City is not a large town, but does have a variety of restaurants and offers door dash or other similar food delivery services. There are several very good restaurants within walking distance to The Bard's Inn.

What to Bring

  • Long sleeves, sweatshirt, sweaters and even a coat may be needed so bring one and scarves, hats, and gloves would be a bad idea.. February is still very much winter in Cedar City
  • Your favorite writing instrument if you are picky about pens
  • Comfy slippers and Pj’s to roam around in
  • Earplugs if you share a room - just in case
  • Toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash
  • Personal toiletries  (we do have Soap, Shampoo, Conditioner, Blowdryer, in every room)
  • Comfy warm good tread walking/hiking/tennis shoes (short easy walking really)
  • Chargers for phones or laptops 
  • Supplements and medications

Coming Early/Staying Later?

Here are some fun activities for those who wish to come early or stay longer.

  • Visiting the national or state parks in the area: Zion, Kolob Canyon, Snow Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Escalante, Arches Monument, Parowan Gap
  • Brian Head Ski Resort and ice skating. About 30 minute drive from Cedar City.
  • Southern Utah University activities and events
  • Southern Utah Museum of Art (SUMA) Free and always wonderful displays!
  • PLEASE NOTE: The Bard's Inn is happy to provide extra days accommodations should you choose to stay.. Please contact The Bard's Inn directly for information on price, and availability or we are happy to inquire on your behalf.

Retreat Cost and Cancellation Policy

Cost

  • Retail price is $1299. 
  • Bring your partner, spouse, bestie or biggest supporter and get 2 for the price of one! Process letting go and loving yourself with the person closest to you! Shared room required, separate beds on request and depending on availability,
  • Other discounts may be available. If you would like to know, please send us an email.

Cancellations

You are welcome to cancel for a full refund up to 14 days before your arrival (minus a $150 non-refundable deposit). Additionally, there will be a $100 administrative fee for ALL cancellations. Our refund policy is described below:

  • If the cancellation occurs more than 14 days before the retreat, we will refund the balance paid after the $150 non-refundable deposit and the $100 administrative fee is deducted.
  • If the cancellation occurs 3-7 days prior to the event, we will refund 50% of the payment after the $150 non-refundable deposit and the $100 administrative fee is deducted.
  • If the cancellation occurs less than 3 days prior to the event, without special circumstances (health issues, death in the family, etc.), there is no refund.

FAQS AND EXCEPTIONS

What if I have a family emergency?

We will refund your payment in full (minus the $100 administrative fee).

What if I am sick?

Health concerns come first! If you experience a health crisis, we will refund your payment in full (minus the $100 administrative fee).

What if I need to cancel and do not let the Jan or the retreat administrator  know?

There is no refund.

Other situations
